Seen in finger-four formation, Tangmere Wing Spitfires climb out from their Sussex coast airfield led by Cocky Dundas, Johnnie Johnson, Denis Crowley-Milling, and Nip Hepple. Four more Spitfires join up as the group heads towards the Pas de Calais and another certain engagement with Luftwaffe fighters. One of Robert Taylor's most moving paintings, each print is signed by Group Captain Sir Hugh "Cocky" Dundas, Air Vice Marshal Johnnie Johnson, and Air Marshal Sir Denis Crowley-Milling - three of the RAF's most outstanding fighter pilots from the greatest air war in history.
